Polyurethane sandwich wall panels are high-performance building envelope materials. They are formed through a continuous molding process, combining two metal panels (or non-metallic panels) with a polyurethane rigid foam insulation layer. PU/PIR sandwiches offer excellent heat preservation, insulation, and soundproofing. Additionally, the core material is flame retardant and meets safety standards. With the joint action of the upper and lower panels and polyisocyanurate, the system delivers high strength and rigidity. The lower panel is smooth and flat with clear lines, which increases the aesthetics and flatness of the room. It is a new type of building material with easy installation, short construction period and beautiful appearance.
The thermal conductivity of polyurethane rigid foam is typically between 0.018 and 0.024 W/(m·K). This is significantly lower than most common insulation materials. Thinner sheets can achieve the same or even better insulation performance.
PU sandwich panels can reduce building energy consumption, significantly reduce air conditioning and heating operating costs, bringing long-term economic benefits, and complying with green building requirements.
The lightweight nature of these panels reduces building loads, while their compressive and bending resistance allow them to serve as both load-bearing and envelope structures with excellent durability.
The panels are prefabricated in the factory, ensuring precise dimensions. Tongue-and-groove plug-in installation processes significantly shorten construction time and save labor and machinery costs.
By adding flame retardants, polyurethane sandwich panels can achieve Class B1 (flammable) or Class B2 (combustible) fire protection standards, effectively slowing the spread of fire.
Rigid polyurethane foam features a high closed-cell ratio (≥90%). These pores are not interconnected, providing excellent waterproof and moisture-proof properties, critical for cold storage environments.
